Fair Play

Fair on court, fair with the camera.

Raqet AI films your match so you can understand your game better. But you and your iPhone are never alone on court: your opponent, your doubles partners and other players are there too. These guidelines show how to record with Raqet AI without anyone feeling ignored.

Ask before you record

Let the people you play with know before the match that you are filming with Raqet AI. One sentence is usually enough, and most players find the insights genuinely interesting afterwards. If someone does not want to be filmed, respect that and skip the recording. A secret recording is not fair play and can violate the personality rights of the people filmed.

Ask first, then post

Watching your own analysis is one thing, sharing a video publicly is quite another. Before you publish clips on social media or anywhere else, ask everyone who is recognisable in them whether they are okay with it. If someone later asks you to take a clip down, do so. No clip is worth making someone feel exposed.

Extra care with children and teenagers

If minors are playing, obtain their parents' consent before recording. Be doubly careful when sharing recordings that show children and teenagers: when in doubt, do not publish.

Respect the rules of clubs and venues

Some clubs and venues have their own rules on filming, and recordings may be prohibited entirely at tournaments and league matches. When in doubt, check briefly with the operator or tournament officials before setting up your camera.

Neighbouring courts stay out of the picture

Position the camera so that it shows your court and captures neighbouring courts as little as possible. Our camera setup recommendations help you find the right angle.

The app is not an umpire

The insights from Raqet AI are a training tool, not an official decision maker. Use them to understand your game, not to relitigate disputed calls after the fact. The usual rules of fair play apply on court.

If you appear in someone else's recording

If someone filmed you with Raqet AI and you are not comfortable with it, the best first step is to talk to them directly. If a video was published against your will and you are getting nowhere, contact us at support@raqetai.com. We take such reports seriously and will help you.
